Ingredients of Potato Grits
- It's 2 of large potatoes deskined.
- It's 1.5 teaspoon of sendha salt.
- It's 2 tablespoon of grated coconut.
- You need 4 tablespoon of finely ground peanuts.
- It's 1 tablespoon of finely chopped coriander leaves.
- Prepare 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds.
- You need 1 tablespoon of oil.
- You need 2 of green chillies chopped.
- Prepare as needed of Water.
Potato Grits instructions
- Grate the potatoes fine and keep them soaked in cold water to avoid oxidation m,until used.
- Heat oil in a saucepan and temper with green chillies and cumin seeds.
- As the seeds temper, squeeze the water from the soaked potato and add them to the saucepan.
- Sauté for 2-3 minutes on medium to Low heat.
- Add salt, ground peanuts and sauté further on Low heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Now cook covered until the potatoes soften.
- Once done, take off heat.
- Serve hot garnished with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
